Notes from Viticulturist
This cultivar is a viticulturist favorite due to its stunning neon green leaves with gentle serration and fruits that glow with gem-toned colors. Sangiovese is a super varietal; it can be used graciously for reds, rosés, and blends with a wide range of alcohol levels.
Joe has grown Sangiovese in The Dalles area before, therefore it has made an excellent “control” grape planted across blocks C, E and F to observe the variance from block to block. This warm season cultivar is by far a Threemile favorite.
